Bethuadahari

Bethuadahari is a calm, serene and peaceful forest situated in Nadia district in the state of West Bengal. A wildlife sanctuary has come up at Bethuadahari which spans over an area of 165 acres. Bethuadahari Wildlife Sanctuary is actually a deer park. Inside the forest you will see innocent deer grazing on the lush green grounds. More than 500 deer inhabit this forest. Other animals which are found in Bethuadahari include wild cats, peacocks, snakes and various species of birds. It is the perfect destination to spend your weekend. You can also visit Palashi, 24 km from here. The battle of Plassey was fought between Siraj Ud Daulah and Robert Clive at the grounds of Palashi.

How to Reach from Kolkata

You can reach Bethuadahari from Howrah by train and from there you can take a rickshaw ride to get to the sanctuary. You can also board a Berhampur bound bus from Kolkata to reach Bethuadahari.

Accommodation at Bethuadahari

There are two rest houses in Bethuadahari. You can stay in any one of them. For booking contact: DFO, Nadia-Murshidabad Division, Krishnanagar, Nadia. Apart from this there are some lodges at Bethuadahari.
