Shillong

Shillong is the capital city of the north eastern state of Meghalaya. It's name is derived from the deity shyllong or Lei Shyllong. This town is also called the Scotland of the East because it is believed that the British were reminded of Scotland by the waterfalls and hills surrounding the town.
